Rehabilitation Services Ontario
Ontario has a diverse range of treatment options available to substance abusers. The two main headings which all rehabilitation falls into are Residential and Outpatient. Most of the same therapy is offered in both settings. Residential rehabilitation programs are the best option for people who have completely lost control of their day-to-day activities due to their addictions and have found it difficult to stay sober for even short periods of time. By removing themselves from their own living space and going into a secure and well structured environment they are much more likely to absorb the treatment process and allow therapy to take a hold in their personal lives so that they may begin the task of learning to live again. Outpatient rehabilitation is more suitable for individuals who are able to experience long periods of sobriety on their own but succumb periodically to relapse and require professional help to overcome the periodical relapses and learn strategies for long term sobriety. Many people who have completed a residential treatment program find it beneficial to involve themselves with an outpatient program while they're integrating into society so they have ongoing support and assistance to deal with the stress of overcoming their addiction. There has been a recent development within the outpatient treatment arena wherein some programs in Ontario are offering addiction treatment in online courses and chat-based 12 step meetings.
We have listed rehabilitation services by type which refers to the basic philosophy used in treatment and may further be defined by the gender of clients accepted in to a specific type of addiction treatment. Drug Rehab Ontario is pleased to offer information on Behavior Modification, Biophysical, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Concurrent Disorders, Holistic and Twelve Step programs. Some of the rehabilitation programs are co-ed, that is they are geared specifically towards the needs of women or men. Additionally we have broken down the addiction treatment to include a page from most of the major cities in Ontario to help people learn about the treatment options available within their own communities.
